Infinio Opens Channel Partner Program to Bring Storage Acceleration to Mid-Market, Enterprise Customers

Program aimed at resellers looking for software-based approach to solving storage performance issues for end users

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., February 2, 2015 – Infinio, a market leader in storage acceleration for virtualized data centers, today announced the multi-tiered Infinio Channel Partner Program, which will help value-added resellers (VARs), distributors and consultants play a significant role in the evolution of the storage industry. By working directly with partners to qualify opportunities, present the technology and help close sales, Infinio and its channel will give storage and IT administrators the most cost-effective way to add Infinio’s content-based storage acceleration solutions to optimize the performance of their virtualized data centers.

The Infinio Channel Partner Program will quickly prepare partners to address the rapidly growing opportunities in the storage acceleration market, where the demanding I/O requirements of today’s applications combined with growing data volumes are straining capacity and performance. Program benefits include a co-selling strategy that speeds sales cycles, joint marketing activities to position partners as thought leaders in a disruptive market segment and in-depth technical training. For solution providers now selling virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), storage, VMware and ancillary solutions such as data protection, the Infinio Channel Partner Program provides the framework to expand their value to customers by solving storage performance problems to support greater flexibility across the business.

“Our customers need cost-effective ways to add innovative I/O optimization to their virtualized data centers, whether they’re trying to meet the requirements of performance-intensive applications or demanding users,” said Tomasz Kochanowicz, cloud architect of Rhino Technical Services, an Infinio partner. “Infinio Accelerator extends our value to customers by helping them meet deadlines on time-sensitive processes by improving storage performance where it matters the most.”

Enterprises have always had to weigh the balance of storage performance versus capacity as they look to extend their data centers in the most cost-efficient manner. Even emerging storage technologies such as hyper-converged systems and hybrid and all-flash arrays continue to couple storage capacity with storage performance, driving up costs and forcing unnecessary upgrades. By separating the delivery of IOPS and capacity with a dedicated performance layer, Infinio’s flagship solution, the Infinio Accelerator, helps virtualization administrators scale storage performance using a server-side, software-based approach to support growing virtualized enterprise applications and desktops, without the traditionally associated expensive upgrades to storage hardware. Partners working with Infinio can expand their revenue opportunities by working with companies that want to improve the performance of their existing environments, as well as those that are creating new data center environments.

“Our partners will be well positioned to help their customers implement both a storage performance layer with Infinio that can be built on next-generation flash devices, as well as a simplified storage capacity tier that can leverage SMR drives and cloud storage,” said Alan DiPietro, Infinio vice president of sales. “Our channel program is integral to fulfilling Infinio’s vision to deliver a strategic, architectural layer in the storage I/O stack, and our partners will help turn this vision into a reality.”

Infinio will be at VMware Partner Exchange (PEX) in San Francisco February 2 through 5. Resellers interested in joining the Infinio Channel Partner Program can visit or speak with the company in booth #721.
